Flyers Club Aide - Before and After School

• Part-time position, approximately 3-15 hours/week
• Schedule Monday-Friday, to follow school calendar
• Recurring shift(s): 6:15-8:45 a.m, 3:30-6 p.m. 
• Additional hours for early release days and school’s out days
• Potential for summer hours
• 5 paid holidays
• Hourly rate: $13.46
• Non-exempt
• Benefits not included

 

Summary:Maintains a safe environment for children; follows all safety procedures, works with Site Supervisor and Group Leader to implement activities and fosters a nurturing environment.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for creating and maintaining a welcoming, compassionate climate
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized and orderly environment
• Aware of and reports all broken equipment and unsafe situations
• Model respect and caring in relationships with children, parents, families, colleagues and community
• Responsible for social development of children
• Utilizes positive strategies to guide children’s social behavior to maintain an effective learning environment
• Greets families each day
• Reads Sub File when entering a classroom to be familiar with the child information contained therein
• Responsible for implementation of the current lesson plan or verbal or written plan
• Monitor all aspects of the program site as related to children’s safety
• Attend all mandatory trainings and meetings
• Available to work on Early Release Days and School’s Out Days
• Ability to push or lift up to 50 lbs
• May require irregular hours: morning and/or afternoon/ evening
• Must have reliable transportation
• Perform duties indoors and outdoors
• Perform additional duties as assigned

 

Education and Experience:

Attained or pursuing High School Diploma or General Education Degree; minimum of 16 years old

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Obtain adult and child CPR/First Aid certification within three months of hiring date, Annual TB test, Hepatitis “A” vaccine, 12 hours of Professional Development annually, and Fingerprint/Background check
